Favorite Line Fridays (In Honor of IT)

IT is coming out in theaters today. I don’t know if I’ll see this new version although my teenage daughter would love to. I read the book, but I don’t do that well watching scary movies anymore. Reading (and writing) about scary things is easier. Either way, I am a big fan of Stephen King and his writing. So, in honor of the movie’s release, here is my favorite line from the book:

“Maybe there aren’t any such things as good friends or bad friends – maybe there are just friends, people who stand by you when you’re hurt and help you feel not so lonely. Maybe they’re always worth being scared for, and hoping for, and living for. Maybe worth dying for, too, if that’s what has to be. No good friends. No bad friends. Only people you want, need to be with, people who build their houses in your heart.” – Stephen King

If you go see the movie, please let me know how you liked it. Either way–if you haven’t already–definitely read the book!

Happy Favorite Line Friday
