“Nothing behind me, everything ahead of me, as is ever so on the road.” Jack Kerouac, ON THE ROAD.
Famous for his excesses, Kerouac wrote one of the great classics of modern day literary fiction. As an interesting side note, the film version wasn’t made until 2012 and featured an ensemble cast. It was made by Francis Ford Coppola among others. There are stories that Kerouac wanted Marlon Brando to be in a film version and even wrote him a letter about the idea but got no response. Other names that were considered for adaptations that never came together are Brad Pitt, Ethan Hawke, Billy Crudup, and Colin Farrell.

This quote is chosen in honor of National Margarita Day – Kerouac’s favorite beverage – and with a nod to one of my favorite places to get one.
TGIF and have a great weekend!
